This is a tribute to a unique and fabulous educator, Dr. Carol Bryant, who is retiring from the University of Wyoming, Spring term, 2012. The idea for the tribute was developed by Elizabeth Gilbert, one of Dr. Bryant's learners. The tribute contains comments of gratitude, and examples of research ideas and work, by Dr. Bryant's students during the Spring 2012 course, Educational Research 5650: Advanced Qualitative Research Methods. Carol, we love you!

My Tribute
I originally took EDRE 5640 with Dr. Bryant in the fall of 2010. It was the first class I took in my Ed.D. program in literacy studies. From the moment I began the class, I realized that Dr. Bryant cared about content and about her students. She took the time to counsel us individually and really helped me develop some concrete ideas for my dissertation. The way she presented information and the way her classes were structured really helped me progress as a doctoral student. I know that her influence will be felt through myself and the other students who were fortunate enough to have her as a professor.
